Italian to English Market Research Interpreting
Over the past 15 years I have worked extensively with international research agencies, moderators and clients on healthcare, pharmaceutical, consumer and business research projects.
I have provided simultaneous interpreting for market research from (and into) Italian in Milan, Rome, Naples, Florence, Bari, London, Birmingham and Lisbon for leading pharmaceutical companies.
Therapeutic areas include oncology, haematology, cardiology, neurology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, rheumatology and dermatology.
I have interpreted for specialists, patients and caregivers discussing treatments, devices and clinical trials.
As well as absolute confidentiality, the role of simultaneous interpreter also requires mandatory adverse event training and compliance with international market research codes of conduct.
Consumer research projects have focused on utilities, appliances, vehicles, personal care, food and farming,
among other specialisations.
Career High Point
Interpreting at a 3-day competitive international market research development event at London Heathrow involving research teams and healthcare professionals arriving daily from multiple international locations.
The Italian team won the prize for the best research development project.

Translation and Editing for Academics
It all began with a book on the economics of electricity markets written in English by a Professor from the Cattolica University in Milan… This led to translation work on the World Access to Modern Energy website, and the book
Energy Poor.
Word gets around, and over the last ten years I have translated and edited papers and books for top Italian universities, winning tenders and delivering text in British (European) English with publication-ready structure, flow and tone.
I have worked on publications on Law, Sociology, Energy, Immunology and Architecture for international journals and publishers including Cambridge University Press and MIT.
Clients include University of Milan Bicocca, Bocconi University (Milan), Cattolica University (Milan), IUSS (Pavia),
La Sapienza (Rome), University of Florence and Milan and Turin Polytechnics.
In the words of a Law Professor from Milan’s Cattolica University, “You’re really HI, Humane Intelligence!”
If you would like a translation or full or post-AI edit of your specialist research in English I’d be happy to discuss
your requirements.
Translation & Interpreting
Since my first ever assignments interpreting for Alfa Romeo and translating a technical manual while still a student,
I have specialised in corporate, financial, legal and medical translation, honed my research skills and become a simultaneous interpreter.
My career has been divided between Italy and the UK, giving me genuine bicultural business experience. I worked
in-house for America’s leading PR company in Milan for two years and in the corporate finance department of an investment bank in London for six months.
I have built long-standing relations with clients and colleagues and am trusted with sensitive, complex and
high-profile communications.
